Power of Prayer-Introduction
Man is a spiritual being and holds faith in existence of a super natural being that makes thing happen they way they do in everyday life. This paper therefore examines the power of prayer in human life and why we should be pray every day. Spiritual nourishment is significantly important for human life. This is because it is through prayer that man communicates to God intimately.

The presence of God in our life gives us hope for the future. This particular hope is derived from our ability to believe that God is there for our protection and what we need is to always be thankful and continuously communicate to him through prayer. Therefore prayer is a powerful communication tool which man uses to ask, offer thanksgiving, praise and worship God.

Human prayer is so powerful that its effect in our life should never be underestimated by any body. James 5:16-18 highlights that, "…The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. Elijah existed on earth and was man just like us. However, he believed in prayer as a great communication tool to God, he prayed humbly that there be drought on the land, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. The secondly, he prayed for rain to fall and God accepted his prayer. Rain fell and there was great harvest in the land. Towards this it, it is important for man to hold prayer dearly to his or her heart.

In the bible, Jesus explained to people that, "…I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you" (Matthew 17:20). 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 tells us, "The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds”.

We use prayer to destroy any wrongful arguments and pretension that go against the holy knowledge of God. In addition, through prayer man takes captive of every thought to make it obedient, respectful and humble to God. The Bible teaches us that, “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests” (Ephesians 6:18).


There is no magic to powerful but is genuine humility toward God during prayer. Prayer should be specific to the point and above all one should trust, believe and have faith in God response. This is because God works in away man cannot comprehend. The Bible teaches us that “when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him" (Matthew 6:7-8).

Prayer offers us a divine opportunity to correct our behavior and embrace a rightful life in the society. This is because we can use prayer to ask for forgiveness from God. In this regard, prayer sanctifies us and gives us hope to live in what ever circumstance we are in.

Conclusion
Communication is critical in human life and relation to each other in the society. This is because it one of the best ways to express ones feeling, opinion and thoughts. Communication with God is equally important. We cannot see God but we can see his presence through His creation and what happens around us. Prayer to god is the only way we can therefore communicate to God. In this regard, I strongly believe that prayer is so powerful based on what it does in our life and being a powerful tool of communication to our God.
